A memory is a type of integrated circuit system used to store data in a computer system. Memory can be manufactured in one or more arrays of individual memory units. Digital lines interconnect memory cells electrically along the columns of the array, and access lines interconnect memory units electrically along the rows of the array. Each memory unit can be uniquely addressed by a combination of digital and access lines.
