Zilog

Zilog was founded in 1974 by industrial pioneers Federico Faggin and Ralph Ungermann. The company's Z80 series of controllers have been widely used. In 1998, the Texas Pacific Group (TPG) acquired ZiLOG and positioned the market in three areas based on ZiLOG's design and manufacturing experience: communications, home entertainment, and integrated control. Currently, ZiLOG has a fully-owned, proprietary design data center with four design centers in California, Texas, Idaho and Washington, DC, an advanced manufacturing facility in Idaho and a testing facility in Manila, the Philippines Factories, in addition, set up a global customer service center in Texas.
