On February 6, according to the monitoring data of Gaogong Intelligent Vehicle Research Institute, in terms of price range distribution, the average price of new cars with front-mounted standard air suspension dropped from 575,200 yuan in 2021 to 553,300 yuan in 2022. With the acceleration of mass production by local suppliers in China, it is expected that the annual delivery scale of passenger car air suspension systems in the Chinese market will reach 3 million units in 2025.
At the end of last year, Shijia Technology, an air suspension solution provider, announced that it had completed the Pre-A round of financing of tens of millions of yuan. The funds will be mainly used for the mass production of China's first wire-controlled suspension One-Box; Zhejiang Konghui Technology, an air suspension supplier that produces cars (successfully developed and supplied for Lantu free in June 2021), announced the completion of 510 million yuan in Series B equity financing. At present, the company has received designation letters from 13 mainstream car companies for air suspension products involving more than 30 models.
In fact, some aerial suspension system suppliers have already held a lot of orders. For example, by the end of last year, AMK, a subsidiary of Zhongding Co., Ltd., had disclosed that the total output value of orders was 7.314 billion yuan. The latter used to be a high-end supplier of global automotive air suspension system assembly products. At the same time, its Chinese subsidiary Anhui Anmeike has also been promoting the localization of air suspension systems to reduce costs.
In addition, Tuopu Group, another domestic listed company, will also complete its first air suspension system factory at the end of 2021. After it is put into production, it can achieve an annual output of 2 million air suspensions, which can meet the needs of 500,000 vehicles per year.
Of course, Chinese local suppliers are also breaking through the market gap of joint venture brands.
In January of this year, Baolong Technology issued an announcement that it received a "Designated Notice" from a domestic joint venture automobile brand OEM, and selected the company as the parts supplier for the front and rear air springs of the air suspension system of its new platform project. According to the plan, the life cycle of the project is 7 years, and the total amount of the life cycle exceeds 240 million yuan. It is expected to start mass production in the first half of 2025. With the breakthrough of the joint venture brand, it also opened up a larger potential market space for localization.
At present, the core components of air suspension mainly include air springs, air supply units, shock absorbers, and control system ECUs. The overall cost is around 10,000 to 15,000 yuan; , the cost of each component continues to decline.
Among them, in terms of air springs, Vibrac and Continental rank the top two in terms of market share, accounting for nearly 80% of the market in total. Baolong Technology, Konghui Technology, and AMK of Germany (wholly owned by Zhongding Co., Ltd.) rank 3-5 bit. This is also the first subdivided air suspension product line in China to achieve a large-scale breakthrough.
In terms of air supply units, Germany's AMK, ZF, and Continental Group occupy the main share. Among them, ZF has realized the localized production of air compressors in China. In November last year, it completed the release of the first two-cylinder air compressor production line. Next year, it will continue to increase production capacity through technical transformation of existing production lines. .
280,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 142.3%, which is the answer sheet for the delivery of air suspension in the Chinese passenger car market in 2022. As a superimposed track that improves ride comfort and intelligence (for example, the magic carpet function integrated with binocular perception), air suspension has also become a new highlight of the 2022 car intelligent track.
According to industry insiders, with the localization of core components and large-scale mass production, it is expected that the cost of the air suspension system will drop to 5,000-6,000 yuan in 2026, and it is expected to be equipped with models within 250,000 yuan.
As of the end of last year, the Chinese passenger car market has lowered the price range of models equipped with standard air suspension systems to 300,000 yuan (including Lantu, Ideal, Jikr, etc.), completely breaking the previous limit of being limited to high-end luxury cars of joint venture brands Market predicament.
