EMI filter is an device of electronic circuits used to suppress electromagnetic interference. The function of the EMI filter is to keep the noise generated inside the electronic equipment from leaking out, and to prevent the noise generated by the AC circuit outside the electronic equipment from entering the equipment. EMI filters typically consist of a network of passive electronic components, including capacitors and inductors, which make up LC circuits.
