Magnetic Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) is an Electrically Erasable Programmable read-only memory. It is a memory chip that does not lose data after a power failure. EEPROM can be used to erase existing information and reprogram it on a computer or dedicated device. EEPROM is generally used in plug and play. They are commonly used in interface cards to store hardware setup data.
