Optical Sensors - Reflective - Logic Output

Logical output reflective optical sensors consist of an optical emitter and a photosensitive element (usually a phototransistor) mounted adjacent to each other and facing the same direction, so that light reflected from the emitter to an object in the sensor's field of view can be detected by sensing elements within the device. They generate binary (dimorphic) signals based on whether the optical signal received by the optical sensor exceeds some specified threshold.
