PMIC - Laser Drivers

Laser driver PMICs are used to provide one or more control current sources for supplying power to a semiconductor laser device from a nominal constant-voltage source. Typically including a feature capable of obtaining feedback from the monitoring of the optical power emitted by the driven laser device, they are widely used in optical communication systems and are distinguished from devices performing similar functions by high-frequency modulation capability of the current supplied to the driven device.
