Power transformers are soft magnetic electromagnetic components, whose function is power transmission, voltage transformation and insulation isolation. Power supply technology and power electronics technology has been widely used. The basic form of a power transformer consists of two sets of coils with wires wrapped around them and inductively linked to each other. When an ac current(with a known frequency) flows through one or the coils, an ac voltage of the same frequency will be induced in the other coil, depending on the degree of coupling and cross-linking between the two coils.
